Kate Csillagi lives and works in Austin, TX. Csillagi creates provocative and absurd narratives by way of fabric collage, drawing, and found object assemblage. Csillagi attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago & Evergreen State College. She is also a mother, and a working professional in the Cannabis industry. Csillagi's work is inspired by misfits and the reorganization of mental & cultural runoff, exploring themes of duality, the supernatural, and the playfully forbidden. Csillagi has shown work and contributed to renegade art spaces throughout the United States in Reno, Nashville, New York, Olympia, and Austin. Csillagi is a founding member of the artist collective ICOSA.
